Our first month closes with a bang!

We had  over 560,000 visits to our candidates profiles and we have hit the 500 candidate mark.
We've started adding some issue profiles to foster debate, and we're in the process of adding our platform builder. This is more of a whiteboard for political thought and an extra campaign venue for candidates.  You can start contributing now, but we won't have an 'official' link from the home page for another week or two.

On the FEC side (These are the big name candidates) Hillary Clinton continues to do well, as does Obama, Newt and Rudy Giuliani.  Mitt Romney has had a big bounce, but this is coming from a small support base on the site right now and is sure to slide back down.

In March the number of votes required to get in to the top lists will go up.  This is simply a reflection of the average number of votes each candidate has received.  On weekends and during special days throughout the week we'll spotlight some up and coming candidates to give them the exposure they need to get votes and increase their ratings.

Election day for 2007 is set for November 5th.  This is a Monday.  The final primary runoffs will happen in October. So far Welborn is in the running and after today we'll know who the Republican winner is.  On the independent side Coberloco had the most time in first place so he's in as well.

The gap is closing among Democrats and Republicans with the Dems having only 36 more candidates at this point.
Independent party candidates were the fastest growing group last week.

Cool site! We're willing to create sites for all interested presidential candidates similar to the 40+ sites we've already created! We know that Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, and others are out there waiting to jump in the 2008 race for the White House, maybe 'YOU' too! Thanks, Jeff

As a no name FEC candidate, I wanted to thank you for this site. It just goes to prove that the American dream is still alive and that people are still interested in politics. I just wanted to commend you for this site and the opportunity to get the word out about my campaign without the traditional method of throwing money at it. Repsectfully, Ray McKinney
